I am a Chicago-based playwright and dramaturg and a recent graduate from The Theatre School at DePaul University. At The Theatre School, my play, Honey Girls, had its world premiere production directed by Carlos Murillo, and I was the dramaturg of the US premiere of Robert Icke's Oresteia directed by April Cleveland. I have worked professionally with Victory Gardens Theater, Raven Theater, and The Alliance Theater in literary management and education programs. I am currently the recipient of The Playwriting Initiative Award at Interrobang Theatre Project.
I believe in the unique power of theatre to spark radical empathy. It is a form where we face our humanity head on, reach into what we do not understand about each other, and listen. Theatre is how I make sense of the world, and I hope to always be curious.
